Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a lean management tool used to analyze and improve the flow of materials and information through a process or system. It is a visual tool that helps organizations to identify and eliminate waste (non-value-added activities) in their processes by creating a map of the entire process from start to finish. The ultimate goal of VSM is to deliver high-quality products or services at the lowest possible cost and shortest possible lead time.
